I'm behind...dreadfully behind. I have pictures but have not had time to edit and post them. We're leaving for my son's Marine boot camp graduation soon and will be gone almost a week. The pictures might need to wait until then to go up. I'll post them according to date as soon as I can, and I should have some very cool daily pictures to share after we return, as well. Stay tuned!

Note: After creating this photo blog earlier this year, it dawned on me that this is a leap year. I kept thinking I really should amend the title to reflect this fact, but I didn't want to without change the title completely to use the number "366". Settled on "+1" today. It works.

This is one of the best photos I've ever managed to take of the moon. Unfortunately, this one was taken on auto with the flash...most of the others I took tonight in manual, but the exposure was off to one degree or another. Being able to photograph the night sky is something I really want to learn how to do.

I've noticed a trend in my pictures so far this year...a lot of them have been taken in my kitchen and/or have to do with food/drink. I had to go and count...indeed, 12 of the 39 pictures posted thus far are kitchen/food oriented...that's over 30%. Wondering what that says about me? The kitchen is often considered the heart of the home...or maybe it just means I think about food too much? LOL

Note: A whole month of photo blogging has passed, and I've managed to keep up with it. Admittedly, I don't always get the photos posted the same day they're taken, but I've tried to get them up as soon as I can. The project is, if nothing else, serving its purpose of reminding me to pick up my camera more regularly again and look at the every day pieces of life from different angles. (And you know what I've learned about most of them? They're dusty! Sheesh. :})
